As we are witnessing incremental changes of the world within the last few decades, organizations around the world are facing tons of issues, challenges, and risks from VUCA (volatile – uncertain – complex – ambiguous) environment along their way to staying connected and relevant to their customers, or whist simply trying to survive from turbulences. Throughout the time, some organizations have been successfully anticipating and responding to the waves of changes and disruptions, but in most cases, we see many organizations failed to do so.
One of the risk management principles of ISO 31000 guides the risk management implementation to actively contribute to the process of value creation and protection of the organization. The application of this principle in this fast-changing era requires a risk management capacity that allows an organization to effectively manage, not only the traditional risks we have known, but also a lot of new shapes of risk we just encountered recently.
Responding to the evolving environment, risk management -as a discipline, or as a practice – is also heading to a new frontier where it guides us to rethink the established and traditional business or operational models and explore and successfully implement new different ideas.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Conference,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee
